Mahabharat Episode 151: Meanwhile, as soon as Duryodhana got an opportunity, he said to Krishna, "O Krishna, you must eat in my palace today. I have prepared a grand banquet in your honour."But Krishna said, "I am simply a messenger. As is the practice, I cannot dine with you unless I have succeeded in my mission." Vidura had, in fact, told Krishna that Duryodhana was not ready to accept any offer of peace. Krishna appeared the following day at the court. There, he expressed his feelings and explained the purpose of his mission unambiguously, giving an ultimatum, peace on one hand and war on the other.
