Mahabharat Episode 168: At dawn, all the arrangements were complete and both the sides were ready for war. A code for the war was finalized. The warriors from both the sides took their pledges to abide by the code. The chief rules framed for the war were:

• A fair and just fight in every respect.


• Suspension of the war at sunset everyday.


• Not to attack a weaponless soldier.


• Not to attack a person who has accepted defeat.


• Not to harm those who carry weapons, provisions, medicines and other war-material to the battle field.


• Not to attack the camps with wounded soldiers under treatment.
